Richard has over 25 years of public accounting experience in a variety of industries, including the financial services, real estate, and the technology sectors. Richard graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting before receiving his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005.

Richard focuses on tax planning for individuals, small businesses, foreign investors and start-up/middle-market companies that are expanding into the U.S. Prior to joining Ross & Moncure, Richard worked as a tax manager and as an international tax specialist with the Big Four firms, including experience in Deloitte’s Washington National Tax Group. This work encompassed tax planning with respect to business entity structuring, cross-border financing, foreign currency transactions, international mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, and inbound U.S. investments for multinational clients.
